What to Expect Before Your First Photography Session
Booking your first photography session should feel exciting, not overwhelming. If it is your first time working with a photographer, it is completely normal to have questions about how the process works, what to expect, and what happens after you submit a booking request. My goal is to make the experience feel clear, comfortable, and easy from the beginning, so you know exactly what steps come next.
Step 1: Visit the Booking Page
The first step is to visit my website and go to the Booking tab. From there, you can review the available photography session options and select the one that best fits your needs. Whether you are looking for a simple portrait session, a more elevated experience, or a larger project with additional deliverables, the Booking page is designed to help you choose the right starting point.
Step 2: Wait for a Confirmation Email
After you submit your booking request, you will receive a confirmation email with important details about your personalized photography session. This is where we can discuss anything that needs to be adjusted or clarified before the photography session takes place. We may go over details like how to prepare, where to park, what to bring, and whether there are any amenities or accommodations available for your photography session.
Step 3: Review the Contract and Invoice
Once the details are confirmed, I will send over a contract and invoice. The contract is not meant to feel intimidating or overly formal—it simply helps protect both of us by clearly outlining the date, time, location, deliverables, payment terms, and expectations for the photography session. It gives everyone a shared understanding of what is included, so there is no confusion later.
The invoice is used to complete payment and secure your scheduled date and time. Once the contract is signed and the invoice is fulfilled, your photography session is officially confirmed. From there, you can feel confident knowing the details are in place and we are ready to create something thoughtful, professional, and true to your vision.
